Privacy

What we watch.

What we store

  • Wallet addressOnly the public address connected to the dapp, never the private key.
  • Swap intent + source sitee.g. swap 1 ETH for USDC on Uniswap
  • Maru's suggestions & user choiceWhether we found a better rate, by how much, and the action you took.

What we never store

  • IP addresse.g. your network location.
  • Device datae.g. browser fingerprint, screen size, OS.
  • CookiesWe don't set cookies, read them, or use them to track you.
  • Analytics & telemetryWhat you do on a page, what you click, where you scroll.
  • Any site data that isn't a swapThe rest of your browsing is yours.

RetentionWe keep this so Maru can show you your savings over time and so we can see what is helping you. Want it gone? Email us at delete@usemaru.com and we'll delete it.

Where your data goes

Maru is built by The Internet Community Company (TICC), the same small team that builds Specify, a web3 ad platform. Your wallet address may be shared with Specify so that ads you see in Maru and across DeFi can be more relevant — and less spammy.

Maru is free because Specify is the business. We'd rather tell you that straight than have you figure it out later.

Specify only ever sees a wallet address — never your swap details, never which sites you visit, never anything else from the list above.

That's the whole list. To verify, every line is on GitHub.
